Upside Down, written by Incognito Cartel's Tom Templeman and his co-writer Maureen Croissant-Prairie, touches on the underbelly of the music business. Both writers draw from their early experiences in music, and some of the unsavory characters that young and often vulnerable musicians must be wary of. "Everybody's your friend when you're up and coming," says Tom. "You cannot be dazzled by the flash, and you must always keep your head on straight or you can find yourself in a bad situation. Music is a great world, but like anywhere else, you have to watch your back and be wary of who you trust."
